Since I'm running out of lip scrub, bored at home, and had no desire to work on my internship report, I decided to do something; which is making my own lip scrub, take the step by step picture, and blog it. Hope it will be useful for some of you.
The ingredients are super simple, because I'm sure you have all this ingredients and tools in your home. The step is also super easy. That's why I always make my own lip scrub, instead of buying it. Cheap, easy, and fun! And it will definitely make your lips softer and brighter :)
So here's what you will need
- 1 tablespoon of honey (you could also use olive oil or jojoba oil)
- 3 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Vaseline petroleum jelly
- a plastic container to store your diy lip scrub
Step by Step
- Mix the honey and white sugar together
- Mix it until it forms into a gritty paste and change to brown color
- Add the petroleum jelly into the paste to make it more smooth. It will make your scrub more volume and make it stay longer on your lips. It's also moisture your lips.
- Now you've finished make your own lip scrub. Place the paste into a small plastic container, it could be your used moisturizer storage or old lip balm case. Make sure it has a cover to prevent the ant attack.
So if you feel your lips dry or cracked, just apply some your diy lip scrub into your lips and rub it gently. Wait for 2 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. Do scrub your lips every 3 days to make it smooth and bright. Goodbye dry lips, welcome smooth lips!
